Maine Sunrise Glows Orange And Gold As Fog Covers The Valley
A misty backyard sunrise brought orange, pink and gold light over the landscape on September 14, as low fog settled across the hollows.
The video, filmed by X user Realtor Rick, shows a weathered wooden fence and sumac with red berries in the foreground. The camera pans across a wet green field toward a tree line, then to hills and a sliver of water in the valley.
Sunrise in Appleton was about 6:15 a.m. EDT. Very high humidity, near 97% before 8 a.m., followed overnight moisture, while regional forecasts noted patchy morning fog across inland and midcoast Maine.
The NWS Gray Knox County forecast called for clearing and a breezy northwest wind later in the day.
