Fiery Red Sunrise Glows Over Fresh Pond And Boston Skyline

Video filmed by X user Peter Payack captured a striking fiery sunrise over Fresh Pond on the morning of May 19, 2026.

The footage shows the sky illuminated in deep shades of red, orange, and pink as the sun rises as a glowing red orb on the horizon beside a tall communications tower.

Thin cirrus clouds stretch across the colorful sky while a light mist hangs over the calm waters of the pond in the foreground.

As the camera slowly moves across the scene, tree-lined shores, distant buildings, and the hazy Boston skyline appear beneath the dramatic early-morning light.

The clip was posted with a caption describing the steamy and fiery sunrise conditions over Fresh Pond, Cambridge, and Boston.
