Colorful Hot Air Balloons Fill The Sky Over Utah Valley
Colorful hot air balloons lifted off from Cottonwood High School on September 19, rising over tree-lined neighborhoods and the Salt Lake Valley.
Red, green, checkered and patterned balloons climbed into the clear morning sky, with cloud-capped mountains in the distance. Some remained low over the football field and parking lots while others rose higher across the valley.
Chris Williams posted the footage from the morning launch at Cottonwood High School, where the flight was part of Magic Over Murray, also billed as Utah Hot Air Balloon Palooza.
The free three-day event ran from September 18 to 20. Morning mass launches and tethered rides were held at Cottonwood High School at 5715 S 1300 E in Murray, while a balloon glow was scheduled for Saturday night at Murray Park.
