Woman Airlifted From Steep Mountain Slope After Serious Fall In Spain
A climber was rescued by helicopter after falling on a mountain path in Torrechiva and suffering a serious ankle sprain on Thursday, September 24.
Mountain-rescue crews from the Espadà-Millars station and the URM responded after an alert was received at around 11:20 a.m.
A GVA112 rescue helicopter hovered over the steep, rocky slope as a rescuer was lowered by hoist to reach the injured woman.
The URM team successfully extracted her from the mountain and transferred her to medical crews after the helicopter landed.
