Sky Bursts Into Flames of Orange as Stunning Sunrise Lights Up Jersey Shore Bay

The sun rose in a blaze of orange over the water at Somers Point on Saturday morning, October 24, setting the whole sky and bay aglow along the Jersey Shore.

X user Coastal Pete filmed the sunrise as the bright disc of the sun climbed above the horizon, casting a glittering path of light across the calm water toward a long dock in the foreground. “Good Saturday morning, sunrise at Somers Point,” the filmer wrote.

The clear, calm start to the weekend gave the shore town a vivid display as autumn settles in along the New Jersey coast.
