Residents Wade Through Waist-Deep Floodwater As Thai Army Delivers Aid In Bangkok

Residents waded through waist-deep floodwater Wednesday night, September 30, as Thai Army personnel and medical volunteers delivered supplies and provided basic care in a flooded housing community.

The footage from Kheha Rom Klao in Lat Krabang district shows a man standing waist-deep in brown water outside a lit shopfront as a worker checks him and hands him a small item.

A blue-and-white plastic basin is used as a small boat in the flooded lane, with a young man sitting inside and a woman behind him. A man in a yellow vest leans from the steps to pass bags into the basin as other small boats and people in camouflage move through the water.

The scene then shifts to a covered one-stop service counter, where workers in yellow vests hand sealed packs to residents. Boxes and plastic baskets filled with supplies are stacked on the tables.

The mobile team from Phramongkutklao Hospital and the First Army Area medical section focused on checking residents, providing basic care and helping older people and those already ill.
