Officer Rescues Escaped Guinea Pig From Grand Junction Park
A small guinea pig gets a gentle rescue after appearing to escape into a city park.
Video released by the Grand Junction Police Department shows Animal Control officer Darcy kneeling on the grass and talking to the white-and-brown guinea pig before slowly reaching toward it.
She uses a white towel to pick up the animal, while a second officer brings over a small plastic carrier.
The officers then place the guinea pig safely inside the carrier following the routine animal-control pickup.
The department said the guinea pig appeared to have escaped in the park.
