Nighttime Video Shows Spokane Wildfires Burning Across Washington Landscape
Video filmed by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Operations Team shows the glow and smoke of active wildland fires across the water on the Spokane County side of Long Lake.
The footage was captured on August 1, 2026, showing the Spokane Area Fires, which include the Old Trails Road Fire, Autumn Lane Fire, and Fairview Road Fire.
The nighttime video shows smoke rising above the landscape as the fires burn in the distance. Officials urged people to stay out of Level 3 Evacuation Areas and allow fire crews, deputies, officers, and other emergency personnel to work.
Authorities also warned that drones near fire areas could stop aerial firefighting operations.
