Massive Pro-Palestine March In Berlin Marks Anniversary Of Palestinian Displacement

A large pro-Palestine march moved through the streets of Berlin on May 15, 2026, marking the 78th anniversary of the Nakba.

The handheld video, filmed by X user Mortada Al-Ghurbani, @alghurbanimortada, shows hundreds of demonstrators of all ages filling a wide city street as they walked forward carrying Palestinian flags and symbolic items.

Among the objects seen during the procession was a large golden key, representing the right of return for Palestinian refugees. Many participants wore keffiyehs as the crowd advanced energetically in bright daylight while the camera panned across the march.

The footage captured one of the main peaceful Nakba Day demonstrations held in Berlin. The anniversary events brought significant crowds across the city as participants commemorated the 1948 displacement and calling for justice in Gaza and Palestine.

While some protests linked to the anniversary on May 16 reportedly involved clashes with police, including pepper spray and arrests, the march shown in Mortada Al-Ghurbani’s video remained focused on the large peaceful procession filled with Palestinian flags.
