Massive Fire Erupts At Waste Storage Site In Italy

Firefighters are battling a large blaze at a storage area for waste bales in the Taverna del Re area of Giugliano in Campania.

Two firefighting teams are operating at the site along with the Nuclear Biological Chemical Radiological unit, three water tankers, including one with large capacity, and an aerial ladder truck.

Three trucks are also being used to move the waste, while two special vehicles known as “spiders” are helping shift the material and reach fires burning inside the bales.
