Lightning Bolt Explodes Over Albacete Spain During Violent Evening Storm

A short handheld video filmed by X user L. Escribano RNE-Albacete captures a powerful lightning strike during an intense evening storm on April 30, 2026.

The brief clip shows a bright white and purple bolt cutting sharply through thick, dark storm clouds. The lightning streaks downward in a jagged path, lighting up the entire sky in a sudden flash.

Moments later, the strike appears to hit near or behind a row of buildings, with rooftops and structures seen as dark silhouettes in the foreground.

The burst of light briefly illuminates the scene before it quickly fades, leaving the area in near darkness with only faint city lights visible in the distance.

The video was shared with the caption “Tormenta en Albacete” (Storm in Albacete), highlighting the intensity of the severe weather that moved through the area that evening.
