Iranian President Arrives At UN Headquarters In New York
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrives in New York and makes his way to the United Nations headquarters ahead of his address to the 81st UN General Assembly.
Government-released footage first shows Pezeshkian stepping down the stairs of a white Iranian government aircraft under a cloudy sky at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
He then emerges from a black Suburban in a garage before walking through United Nations corridors with Iranian officials, passing security gates, green carpet and murals.
Pezeshkian arrived in New York at dawn Tehran time on September 23 after a refueling stop in Algiers. He was met at JFK by Iran’s UN chargé Gholamhossein Darzi.
The footage covers his arrival at the airport and later journey into the UN headquarters. It does not show his speech from the podium.
