Helicopter Flies Over Raging Wildfire In Spain’s Asturias Mountains
This is the moment a helicopter flies over a wildfire burning through the mountainous terrain of Asturias, capturing flames spreading along a steep hillside as thick smoke fills the surrounding valleys.
Footage from BRIF Tineo shows a thin line of orange flames moving across a brown-green slope, with white-grey smoke pouring from the ridge and drifting through the mountain landscape.
The helicopter circles above the fire, revealing burned ground, dirt tracks and the difficult terrain where firefighting operations are taking place.
ATBRIF, the workers’ association representing Spain’s BRIF brigades under MITECO, said BRIF Tineo flew over the Parana wildfire in the municipality of Lena to join the attack. A later post from the same account showed a reconnaissance flight over the area.
Lena is located in the central mountains of Asturias, where BRIF Tineo provides reinforcement support for wildfire operations in steep terrain.
