Girl Pulled Alive From Flood Debris After Being Trapped For Two Days In Nepal
An Armed Police Force team rescued a girl found buried in flood debris during a search operation in Timure on the evening of August 28, 2026.
The girl, Manisha Magar, was found trapped beneath mud and wreckage. Rescuers reportedly heard crying from underneath the debris, with most of her body covered and a wooden structure keeping her head from being fully buried.
Manisha had been trapped since the Bhote Koshi flash flood struck on August 26. The Armed Police Force team from the Timure border outpost pulled her from the wreckage and provided first aid at the Timure post.
The video shows crews working through mud and wreckage before moving the rescued child. Later footage shows preparations for her transfer by helicopter to hospital.
Bad weather prevented an airlift on Friday night. The Nepal Army flew Manisha out the following day, and she was treated at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu.
Reports put her age at 5 or 6. Her parents survived the disaster and were later identified.
The flood killed hundreds and left thousands missing across Rasuwa and nearby districts.
