Fog Rolls Across Autumn Pond at Sunrise Near Boston
A thick bank of fog rolled across a pond at daybreak on Sunday, October 25, as the rising sun lit the sky orange above trees turning red and gold.
X user peter payack filmed the scene from high above the water in four clips, calling it a “spectacular combination” of fog, autumn foliage and sunrise. The footage shows the mist drifting low over the still surface and spilling over the far shore, while the colourful canopy of the trees below catches the first light.
New England is in the final stretch of its fall foliage season, when cool, clear nights over still-warm water often produce dense morning fog.
