Deer Rescued Twice After Falling Back Into Tennessee Reservoir
Firefighters and police rescued a deer trapped in a reservoir near Luther Lake after it slipped through a gap in a chain-link fence and could not climb back out.
Crews used a catch pole and rope to pull the animal from the water and onto the concrete edge. After being rescued, the deer fell back into the reservoir.
Firefighters and police then carried out a second rescue, lifting the deer from the water again and placing it safely on dry ground.
The crews steadied the animal beside the fence before guiding it away from the basin.
The City of Dickson Fire Department said it was the second such rescue in less than 24 hours. The deer was removed safely.
