Cows Dig Through Fresh Snow To Reach Green Grass In Winter Pasture
Cattle were filmed grazing through a fresh layer of snow on 12 October, pushing their muzzles through the white covering to reach patches of green grass underneath.
X user Curtis Fladager shared the 24-second video, noting that the recent snowfall had softened the old grass and allowed the cows to reach the remaining green growth. He expressed satisfaction at seeing the herd make use of the available forage.
The cattle moved calmly across the snowy pasture, where patches of dry grass remained visible beneath the light covering of snow.
The scene reflects how cattle on working ranches can continue to use residual pasture after early-season snowfall, depending on the available forage and local conditions.
