Buck Tangled In Backyard Hammock Rescued By Ohio Police
Police officers and an Ohio Department of Natural Resources officer freed a buck that became tangled in a backyard hammock on September 17.
Officers Taylor, Carrel and Lewis, along with the ODNR officer, cut the fabric while holding the deer’s antlers and body. They pulled the hammock away before counting and releasing the buck.
The deer stood up and ran across the lawn past a picnic table and trees. It was released without injuries.
North Canton police said it was the department’s first hammock rescue after years of deer calls involving fences and ponds.
