Snow fell overnight at the National Weather Service office in Caribou, and someone wrote “1ST SNOW” in the slush on a car hood.

Snow fell overnight at the National Weather Service office in Caribou, and someone wrote “1ST SNOW” in the slush on a car hood.

The nighttime video shows large flakes blowing sideways under a bright parking lot light. A thin layer of wet snow covers the hood and windshield of a dark vehicle. Snow also sits on the roof and rear window of an SUV parked next to it.

The camera pans across a patch of grass that is completely white. The paved parking lot stays bare, dark and wet.

The weather service posted the clip on the evening of October 13, 2026, writing: “Accumulating on our vehicles since they are cold along with the grass. Pavement temperatures are 38-48°F so pavement will remain wet.”
