Two Tiny Emperor Tamarins Enjoy Snack Time Together At Perth Zoo

Two tiny emperor tamarins sit side by side on a wooden branch at Perth Zoo as they enjoy small pieces of food together.

The two primates, known for their long white handlebar mustaches, hold and eat the food while looking around their mesh enclosure, surrounded by leafy cover and a stone wall.

At one point, one of the tamarins opens its mouth toward the camera.

Perth Zoo shared the footage with the caption “Just Emperor Tamarin things.”

Emperor tamarins are small primates from the Amazon Basin, and their distinctive white mustaches gave the species its name.
