Alligator Found Lurking in Bushes on University of South Florida Campus
Police at the University of South Florida were called out after a nearly 4-foot alligator was spotted hiding in bushes on campus.
The USF Police Department said officers responded to the area of Lot 56 and Laurel Drive after the alligator was spotted.
Officers contacted the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, which sent a licensed trapper to safely catch the alligator and move it to a larger body of water away from campus, police said.
“Looks like we had a different kind of visitor at USF today!” police wrote.
