Rescuers Ferry Boatload of Stranded Goats Across Flooded Rio Grande
Socorro County, United States – Members of the New Mexico National Guard ferried a boatload of goats across the flooded Rio Grande in Socorro County, New Mexico.
Footage released by the Guard, filmed from inside an inflatable boat, shows a crowd of brown and white goats packed on board as the boat moves across the wide, muddy water. Other boats carrying rescuers in helmets and life jackets travel alongside.
"A squad from the 789th Bleat Brigade conducts amphibious operations yesterday along the Rio Grande in Socorro County. All personnel accounted for, and very vocal," the Guard joked, adding: "#nogoatleftbehind"
