Pickup Trucks Plough Through Flooded Florida Road as Floodwater Surrounds Buildings

Palm Bay, United States – Pickup trucks ploughed through deep floodwater on Valkaria Road in Florida after record rain swamped Brevard County.

X user Chris Thomas filmed the scene from his car on Tuesday, November 3, as trucks ahead of him pushed through the brown water, sending up waves on both sides, with a building standing in the flood beside the road.

"We're making it, we're here to the other side," the filmer can be heard saying.

Parts of southern Brevard County were hit by more than 20 inches of rain on Monday, November 2, according to the National Weather Service. Two people died in the county, and officials urged residents to stay off flooded roads.

"Palm Bay, FL flooded Valkaria Rd," the filmer wrote.
