Ominous Funnel Cloud Snakes Down From Storm Over Farmland in New South Wales

Gunning, Australia – A funnel cloud snaked down from a dark storm over farmland north of Gunning in New South Wales, Australia.

Footage captured by a member of the NSW Rural Fire Service shows the cone of cloud reaching down from the base of the storm over green paddocks dotted with trees, filmed through a wire fence.

"One of our members captured this incredible video of a tornado forming north of Gunning," the service wrote.

The storm cell formed over the south-western slopes and moved into the Southern Tablelands, the RFS said. Crews worked into the evening supporting the NSW State Emergency Service at multiple storm damage incidents, securing structures and clearing fallen trees.
