Mother Goose Leads Goslings Through Downtown Vancouver Traffic In City Crossing Moment

A mother goose was seen guiding her young goslings across a busy downtown street, creating an unexpected wildlife crossing in the heart of the city.

The scene took place this morning on Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver as the family of geese made their way toward Stanley Park.

The goslings followed closely behind their mother in a single-file line while moving steadily across the roadway under daylight conditions.

Traffic came to a complete stop in both directions as vehicles waited for the birds to safely finish crossing.

The video shows the group continuing calmly toward their destination, with city buildings and trees visible in the background.

Officials highlighted the moment as a reminder that wildlife frequently moves between Stanley Park and nearby green spaces, even in heavily urban areas.

Drivers are being urged to remain alert and give way when animals appear on city streets.

The crossing serves as a reminder that wildlife movement can occur unexpectedly in major city centres, requiring caution from road users at all times.
