Massive Moose Walks Along Interstate 90 As Drivers Pass Just Feet Away

A young bull moose walks along the grassy shoulder of Interstate 90 as vehicles pass nearby in Rensselaer County.

The moose is seen beside the highway near Exit 8 in Defreestville, separated from traffic by a metal guardrail. A red SUV passes as the animal walks along the roadside.

Later footage shows the moose moving through open grass and brush near the interstate.

The New York State Department of Transportation posted the footage on September 28 and warned drivers that wildlife can appear without warning.

The young bull had also been reported west of Poestenkill on Saturday and in Wynantskill on Sunday. The approximately 600-pound yearling was later tranquilized and moved by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in Troy on September 29.
