Kangaroo Caught In Calm Morning Snack Moment As Leaves Drift In Enclosure

A video from Perth Zoo shows a Western Grey Kangaroo named Nolga calmly enjoying a morning meal in a peaceful enclosure setting.

The short handheld clip begins with a close-up view of the kangaroo sitting on sandy ground. Nolga is seen quietly chewing green leafy branches that hang in front of him.

As he eats, his mouth opens wide, revealing a pink tongue and teeth, while bits of leaves stick to his nose and whiskers. He blinks slowly and turns his head slightly toward the camera with a relaxed expression.

His ears move gently at times as he continues to eat. The leaves sway in the foreground while bright morning sunlight highlights his gray-brown fur.

The background shows soft, blurred greenery, reinforcing the calm atmosphere of the enclosure during the morning hours.

The seven-second clip was posted on April 23, 2026, capturing a quiet and relaxed moment that reflects the animal’s calm behavior in the zoo environment.
