Helicopter Lifts Horse Out Of Spanish Pond

Firefighters rescued a horse from a pond at El Brosquil after it became trapped in the water on Saturday afternoon.

Crews from the Cullera station reached the horse first, but the marshy ground and reeds prevented them from pulling it out from the shore. A Consorci helicopter was brought in to assist with the rescue.

The horse was secured in a harness and lifted from the pond by the helicopter before being carried to a safe area. Firefighters then released it from the sling.

The horse was rescued in good condition and returned to its owner, who was at the scene.
