Drone Footage Reveals Massive Bull Run Chaos During Soria San Juan Fiesta

High-angle aerial footage from Guardia Civil drones and a helicopter captures the full scale of “La Saca,” a traditional bull-herding event held during the San Juan fiestas.

The video shows large crowds of spectators lining the route while groups of riders on horseback, wearing teal shirts, guide a herd of dark bulls across dusty fields and paths. Clouds of dust rise as the animals and riders move through the countryside.

From above, the scene reveals a wide, coordinated but chaotic spectacle stretching across open terrain with hills and trees in the background.

The aerial monitoring system, using both drones and helicopters, provides real-time oversight of the entire route. This allows coordination with ground teams during the event.

The surveillance supports safety efforts for runners, riders, and spectators during the large public gathering, which is considered a high-risk cultural celebration in Soria.
