Deputy Pulls Over 'Zombie' Doing 48 in a 30 – and Lets Him Off Because He's 'Not Alive'
Lee County, United States – A sheriff's deputy in Lee County, Florida, pulled over a driver dressed as a zombie for speeding – and let him off with a warning because he "cannot legally give a ticket to someone who is not alive."
Body camera footage released by the Lee County Sheriff's Office shows the deputy approaching the car at night to find the driver in full zombie make-up.
"You are the fastest zombie on the roadway, at 48 in a posted 30," the deputy says. "Is there a collection of brains you're attempting to get to?"
After checking the driver's details, he returns and tells him: "Since I cannot legally give a ticket to someone who is not alive, and you being a zombie, you're only getting a warning tonight for the speed." He adds: "Don't eat any brains tonight."
"This weekend, deputies pulled over a zombie for speeding. Luckily, he got off with a warning and lived to see another day!" the sheriff's office wrote.
