Deputies Rope Loose Emu on Arizona Road and Return It Unharmed

Pima County, United States – Deputies roped a loose emu on a road in Pima County, Arizona, and returned it without harm.

Body camera footage released by the Pima County Sheriff's Department on Thursday, November 5, shows the tall bird standing in vehicle headlights at night as a deputy approaches with a white rope, loops it around the emu and, with other units' lights flashing, loads it for return.

"Lost emu located, roped, and returned. No feathers harmed in the making of this reunion," the sheriff's department wrote.
