Deer Rescued After Becoming Entangled In Slackline Course In Colorado

A deer became caught in a slackline setup, creating an unusual rescue scene that required careful coordination from animal control officers.

Animal Control Officers Bennett, McMullen, and Rupe responded to the situation and approached the animal with steady handling and quick decision-making.

The team used garden loppers along with patience and teamwork to carefully cut and remove the slackline material.

Their goal was to free the deer without causing injury, and they worked together to gradually release it from the entanglement.

After being successfully freed, the deer was able to leave the area and return safely on its own.

Officials said situations like this demonstrate the skill and compassion used by animal control officers in their daily work.

They added that not all rescues involve emergency sirens, as some require calm actions and the right tools to resolve safely.
