Cowboys Ride Out To Round Up Cattle Across 18,000-Acre California Grazing Land

This is the moment cowboys on horseback ride across vast grazing land to round up cattle at the end of the grazing season on the Tahoe National Forest.

Footage captured on September 21, 2026, shows the riders gathering cattle for permittee Nolan Yocum on the Canyon Creek grazing allotment.

The Yocum family has grazed cattle on the approximately 18,000-acre allotment for the past six years.

The roundup took place as the grazing season came to an end on the Tahoe National Forest.
