Port St. Lucie, United States – Floodwater rose to the windows of cars and one person paddleboarded down a street as heavy rain swamped Port St. Lucie, Florida, on Monday, November 2.

Footage released by the Port St. Lucie Police Department shows floodwater covering residential streets and surrounding homes and parked cars.

Water near SW Cameo Avenue and SW Bellevue Avenue reached window level on some standard-sized vehicles, the department said. Significant flooding was also reported on SW Airoso Boulevard near SE Prima Vista Boulevard, near Oak Hammock K-8 school and in St. Lucie West.

"While the paddle boarding certainly stands out, the reality is that these conditions are extremely dangerous," police wrote, urging people to stay off the roads and never drive through standing water. Officers responded to calls about vehicles stranded in high water across the city.
