Bull Moose Spotted Roaming Near Boulder As Sheriff Warns During Mating Season
Two moose have been spotted on several consecutive nights in the Sugarloaf area west of Boulder, prompting the sheriff’s office to warn residents to keep their distance during mating season.
Footage filmed by Deputy Mike Fank on October 6 shows a bull moose standing among trees and tall grass at night. The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said two moose had been seen in the area on several nights.
The sheriff’s office warned that moose can become aggressive during mating season and urged people to give the animals plenty of space.
The office did not report any injuries or other incidents involving the pair.
