400 Goats Set Loose To Help Rescue California From Wildfires
More than 400 goats were released into East Miramar on September 15 as part of Operation Goat Rope at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.
The goats, provided by Shepherdess Land and Livestock, will graze on vegetation to help reduce wildfire risks.
Operation Goat Rope makes MCAS Miramar the first U.S. military installation to use this type of wildfire mitigation effort.
