Woman Runs From Police Claiming She Did Nothing Wrong After Burning Documents In Open Fire
A woman was confronted by a deputy after being found burning documents in an open fire at night.
The woman said the papers contained Social Security numbers and explained that she was burning them because she had no shredder and did not want to throw them in a trash can.
The deputy told her she could not remain there after dark, that open burning was not allowed and that she was on state property and trespassing.
As the deputy began taking her information, the woman refused orders to drop what she was holding and told him to stay away. She then got into her vehicle and drove away.
Deputies followed her onto a two-lane road and across the Transit Center Bridge. The pursuit ended with deputies using a PIT maneuver.
