Police Officers Go Head-First Down Slip-And-Slide In Summer Race

Officer Ashley Morrow and Cpl. Adam Carson went head-first down a slip-and-slide during a Cool Down event at Sunset Park.

Footage posted by the City of Lewiston Police Department shows the two officers racing down the slide on their stomachs as they joined Lewiston Parks and Recreation in marking National Parks and Recreation Month in July.

The department said Carson won the round.

The event was held with the Rec Mobile, which provides free activities for children at different parks on weekdays from 10 a.m. to noon. Mondays are held at Sunset Park.

The department did not provide the specific date of the race or identify any children who attended the event.
