Police Officer Ditches Patrol Car For Pink Scooter And Unicorn Helmet To Greet Kids

A Tega Cay police officer ditched the patrol car for a pink children’s scooter and a rainbow unicorn helmet while greeting families at a morning school event.

The officer rode through Living Memorial Gardens as families gathered for Cocoa with the Popo during Bike and Roll to School Day on May 8, 2026.

A yellow Labrador on a leash crossed the path as the officer cruised past a bench and families. A child in a red jacket was also seen nearby.

“Coming through. What’s up, y’all?” the officer called out while riding through the garden.

The event invited families to grab hot cocoa, chat with officers and then ride to school together.
