Violence Erupts After Arsenal Fans Celebrate Goal Inside West Ham Supporters Section

A shaky handheld video filmed by X user PureGoonerCOYG from the Arsenal away section inside London Stadium during the West Ham vs Arsenal Premier League match on May 10, 2026, captured violent scenes breaking out in the West Ham supporters section after Leandro Trossard’s late winner.

The footage shows furious West Ham supporters confronting a group of Arsenal fans who had purchased seats in the West Ham section beneath the large blue “THIS IS THE WORLD’S STAGE” banner. The hidden Arsenal supporters revealed themselves while celebrating Trossard’s decisive goal in the 83rd minute.

Moments later, pushing, shoving, and physical clashes erupted as angry home fans surged toward them. Some Arsenal supporters were seen being kicked, struck, and shoved down concrete stairs during the chaos.

Stewards wearing yellow high-visibility vests rushed into the crowd to intervene and escort the Arsenal fans out of the section. The packed stand stood up as shouting, verbal abuse, and confrontations unfolded while several people stumbled on the steps during the disorder.

Trossard’s goal sealed a crucial 1-0 victory for Arsenal, keeping the club’s Premier League title hopes alive while leaving West Ham just above the relegation zone. The tense derby followed a controversial VAR decision earlier in the match that ruled out a West Ham goal.

Four arrests were made following the incidents. Two men were arrested for affray and assault, a teenage boy was arrested for racially aggravated assault, and another man was arrested for possession of a Class B substance.

Additional videos from the stadium showed Arsenal supporters being escorted out, shoved through the stands, and falling down stairs as stewards attempted to regain control.
