Scottish Fans Flood Providence Streets In Vibrant Tartan Army Parade

Providence, Rhode Island — Hundreds of Scotland’s Tartan Army supporters marched through downtown Providence in a colorful parade featuring bagpipes, drums, and Scottish flags.

Fans dressed in kilts and tartan played traditional instruments while carrying blue-and-white banners displaying the words “Tartan Army” and “A.C.T.A.”

Families, children, and other spectators gathered along the sidewalks, cheering and recording the procession as it moved past historic buildings, trees, and a monument in the city center.

The celebration included coordinated marching bands and enthusiastic supporters, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the square.

Footage captured part of the Tartan Army’s community activities during their stay in Providence for the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches at nearby Gillette Stadium.

During their visit, the group donated money to Hasbro Children’s Hospital and supported local programs that teach children soccer and bagpipes through organizations including the Rhode Island Highlanders Pipe Band.

The events showcased the supporters’ efforts to contribute to host communities while celebrating Scottish culture and their passion for football.
