Portable Toilets Sent Sliding Across MetLife Stadium Parking Lot As Nor’easter Soaks Giants Game
Rain soaked the MetLife Stadium parking lot as a powerful nor’easter battered the area ahead of the Giants-Titans game, with portable toilets sent sliding across the pavement before kickoff.
Video filmed by X user The BlueZone shows the rain-soaked lot and the gray stadium in the distance. The footage captures wet asphalt, yellow parking lines and three portable toilets standing near the stadium as a white cargo van crosses the lot.
Another video filmed by tailgating fan Connor Coulter showed four portable toilets skating across the parking lot before kickoff. No injuries were reported.
The Giants and Titans played Sunday with the nor’easter bearing down on the region. Parking lots opened at 8 a.m. ahead of the 1 p.m. kickoff, with forecasters warning of an 83 percent chance of rain at kickoff and wind gusts of up to 41 mph.
Tickets had fallen as low as $14 on StubHub before the game.
The Giants won 12-7 after a late interception in the end zone.
