Iran Team Arrives In Los Angeles Area Ahead Of World Cup Opener

Video filmed by X user JoeBruin shows a large blue coach bus carrying the Iranian national football team moving slowly along a sunny street lined with palm trees and modern buildings as it approaches the team’s hotel.

The bus is marked “IR IRAN,” displays the Iranian flag, and features “FIFA WORLD CUP 2026” graphics as it nears an intersection in light traffic.

On the sidewalk, supporters wave a large Iranian flag and hold signs while cheering the team’s arrival. A police officer stands nearby monitoring the scene, while several bystanders record the moment using their phones.

Other vehicles, including a dark SUV, travel alongside the team bus as it proceeds through the area.

The footage shows the Iran national team arriving in the Los Angeles area on June 14, 2026, ahead of its opening FIFA World Cup 2026 Group G match against New Zealand at SoFi Stadium.

The squad is based in Tijuana, Mexico, and only enters the United States for matches due to visa and security arrangements.

The arrival drew both supportive fans from the Iranian diaspora and political protests outside the hotel amid heightened security.

The scene reflects the complex atmosphere surrounding Iran’s participation in the tournament co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
