Amazon Truck Engulfed In Fire As Black Smoke Rises Over California Interstate

An Amazon truck burns on the shoulder of southbound Interstate 5 near Firebaugh, sending a towering column of black smoke into the air in footage filmed by X user Lakshman Turlapati.

The video shows vehicles traveling south through farm fields as traffic builds around the blaze. A tanker and other trucks are stopped near the fire, while a blue Amazon Prime trailer passes in the foreground.

The truck fire occurred near the Russell Avenue off-ramp on September 22, 2026.

A commenter said a friend spent more than 90 minutes in northbound traffic and that the fire was later out.
